Saying that the Nationale will not reinstate their engagement since he has not paid his premiums for six years, that nothing remains for them except a guaranteed prize regarding the author's rights--"after my death, of course"--But will the adversary be content with the meagre meal?; mentioning Pelléas: "the masterpiece written in misery is a very old legend," etc.
